Les causes invisibles
Valor Montero, Jaume
After the death of Napoleon in an attack shortly before being crowned Emperor, the French Republic is ruled with an iron fist by the citizen Fouché, ex-chief of the Napoleonic police. The will to expand revolutionary ideas will collide with a United Kingdom immersed in a plot of deception, espionage and betrayal to usurp the Crown from its legitimate heirs. Britain's victory at the Battle of the Channel, where the two nations' aerostats, mechanical cavalry, and steam battleships clashed, establishes a fragile peace between the English and the French. Al Comú, the name adopted by Catalonia when it became independent from Castile and twinned with France, a group of characters will fight to save Barcelona from the confrontation between the two great powers of the first third of the 19th century. Philosophers, spies, heroines, scientists, soldiers, prostitutes, terrorists, inventors... Invisible causes is a steampunk uchrony of complex characters who wage war on their own until they all finally converge in a unique story.
