Les altures

A shining promise of Catalan art at the beginning of the 20th century and a creator banished a short time later by the bourgeoisie that had praised him, the painter, sculptor and engraver Ismael Smith is one of the most queer, genuine and exceptional figures of our artistic heritage . The novel Les altures interprets his trajectory -from Barcelona in 1886 to New York in 1972- with a play of voices that embody the tensions and chiaroscuro that Smith captured in his artistic production.
