Leche condensada
González Rossi, Aida
Condensed milk is a game of Pokémon in the game boy. Aída is twelve years old and lives in the south of Tenerife with her mother. Aida must grow up. Or contain yourself so as not to grow. Or keep Moco with her, her cousin identical to her, hers another me of hers. Or protect yourself from him. Or protect, instead, Yaiza, her best friend. Or trick her using a fake messenger. Or drink until things stop being what they are. Or talk and talk about things and how they are. Or shut up. Condensed Milk is about the end of childhood, about symbiotic relationships, and about wanting to be expansive and meeting the containment of abuse. Also about the internet as a refuge, especially when you live in a town and you are queer. Aida González Rossi drags us through her first novel with a wild, dirty poetic prose, battered in orality and in the narrative of the video game, absolutely unique.
