Las traidoras
Premio Ramiro Pinilla de Novela Corta
Luque Ortiz, Herminia
King Fernando VII, waiting for his fourth wife, María Cristina de Borbón, to give birth to who will be his heir to the throne, tries to relieve himself in a lavish precious wood toilet, a very thankless and difficult task. Meanwhile, while recalling different episodes in his life, clearly from an "intimate" point of view, he is reading some letters that the secret police have just delivered. Letters from women who, for one reason or another, have been related to him. Letters from thirteen women are included, whose stories reveal the same time to us with a precise and different approach; thirteen women, the traitors, thanks to whom we verify that historical matter -such as fecal matter- goes a long way. Fernando VII is, without a doubt, the most nefarious monarch in the history of Spain. After being "the Desired One", acclaimed by the people on his return from his prison in France, he ended up being known as "King Felon" for his betrayals, disloyalty, hypocrisy and his tyranny and cruelty in matters of State.
