Las películas del "art cinema" y sus públicos

el cine español en la segunda mitad de los años setenta

Camporesi, Valeria

As for cinema, the seventies are a complex decade for the discourse of history. In fact, it is normally coupled either with the New Cinemas stage or with the reviled eighties cinema stage. The route proposed in these pages has a double objective. On the one hand, it aims to contribute to perfecting the reconstruction of the history of (global) cinema in the seventies by linking it to a very specific case, that of the Spanish State, often considered marginal, and on the other, it aspires to reframe the way in which which tends to conceptualize the relationship between films and history in this country. The ambition is that the reader will find in these pages not only a reconsideration of what is happening with film production in Spain in the seventies and its relevance to understanding what is happening in the global framework, but also a different way of thinking about the late Francoism and the Transition.
