Las maravillas

What is the weight of family in our lives, and what is the weight of money in our lives? What happens when a mother decides not to take care of her daughter, and what happens when a daughter decides not to take care of her mother? Would we have been different if we were born in another place, in another time, in another body? In this novel there are two women: María, who at the end of the sixties leaves her life in a southern city to work in Madrid, and Alicia, who is born more than thirty years later and repeats her path for different reasons. We know what separates them, but... What unites them? What belongs to them, what have they lost?
