Las cigüeñas son inmortales
Mabanckou, Alain
Michel, a thirteen-year-old boy with a reputation for dreaming, lives in the Congolese town of Pointe-Noire. His life goes on normally: he goes to school, he plays, he has his ups and downs with his neighbors; His mother works at a banana stand in the market and his father works at a hotel. But in March 1977, suddenly, the news breaks: Comrade President Marien Ngouabi has been brutally assassinated. The attack will have different consequences in the life of Michel and his family, the learning of the lie will not be the least of them.
