La vida material

Unique and extraordinary book, "Material Life" is quite possibly one of the best ways to get closer to the imposing figure of Marguerite Duras (1914-1996). Throughout its pages we find his most authentic being, his very human weaknesses that are at the same time his strengths, his particular and always stimulating look at love, men (straight and homosexual), the house, the woman and their worth, cinema, writing, alcohol ..., everything that ultimately came to constitute his existence, the "material life" that gives the volume its title. Contextualized by the valuable annotations that discreetly accompany her speech, the work, under its apparent modesty, ends up revealing itself, due to its authenticity and its depth, as one of the author's greatest creations.
