La victoria perdida
Sañudo, David
It is the 10th century in the Iberian Peninsula. These are times of disloyalty and wars in the Christian kingdoms, dedicated in turn to the reconquest against the Arabs, whose dominions seem increasingly powerful. And the survival of the kingdom of León is threatened by the powerful Qurtuba caliphate of Abderramán III. Faced with the obvious military inferiority of his armies, King Ramiro II puts his hopes in a legendary object cited in ancient documents; Only that could give him the power of victory. The monk Julián and Alvar Laínez, son of the Count of Aquilare, will be in charge of finding him. For this they will have to travel all the Hispanic lands, and in their travels they will discover friendship and even love; but they will be harassed, betrayed and coerced, for there are many who, even in the king's own court, do not see their mission favorably. Death persecutes them insistently... and their main objective will be to survive.
