Vázquez de Sola, whose "Life and Miracles of Jesulín de Nazaret" we have already published in this same collection, is still alive and well in Granada, although some have long given him up for dead. In this underpants work he recreates his picturesque and hectic biography through various unusual, crazy and endearing characters like him. With an agile and stark pen he reconstructs an era and easily recognizable places from the last half of the last century, and illustrates its history with 70 drawings that are no less loose and wild. The reader will smile, laugh and even laugh, but hardly yawn at this mixture of novelty of customs, adventure story and irreverent memories.
