La trena de la meva àvia

Bronsky, Alina

Max's family lives in an apartment for refugees in Germany. Grandma is a terrifying and stubborn Russian matriarch who imposes her rules with an iron fist. When he emigrated from the Motherland, he was in search of a better world. But she's not at all happy with the way things work in Germany: the doctors and teachers are incompetent, the food is toxic, and Germans in general are untrustworthy. The grandmother is convinced that Max is a weak and sickly child, and she keeps him under constant supervision to protect him from the negative influences of the world. But despite being clumsy in his eyes, Max has realized that his grandfather, stoic and taciturn, is in love with his neighbor, Nina. The family dynamic changes radically when Nina gives birth to a baby who is the living image of the grandfather. Then everyone will have to learn how to fend off Grandma.
