La terra dura
retorn al cor de Catalunya
Punsoda, Anna
The writer Anna Punsoda returns to the landscape of her childhood, Plans de Sió, in the Segarra region. He does it in a very different way than when he left. He has cleaned up the past and built his own family. She is in a position to return to her world, fix up a house there with her husband from Barcelona and watch her children grow up there. Punsoda tries to understand its relationship with hard land, geographically central and at the same time largely ignored, which has given rise to personalities such as the writer Pedrolo and the painter Guinovart, but which is currently on our mental map thanks to the food corporation bonÀarea de Guissona and to the contrast between the people of old and the many families from Ukraine and Senegal who have settled there. Through historical research, conversations with neighbors and direct experience, Anna Punsoda weaves a very personal story about reconciliation with oneself and with the country as the only way to be free and contribute something valuable to the world.
