Santander, November 13, 2019. As soon as she starts her working day, criminal lawyer Clara Caballero receives disturbing news: her friend Irene, a sweet university professor, has been arrested in the Cantabrian town of Comillas. She is the only suspect in the murder of a man whom no one seems to know. Convinced that it is a mistake, Clara takes on his defense. However, his confidence soon fades when he discovers that Irene's husband surprised her in the garden of the family home kneeling next to the corpse and holding the crime weapon. The situation gets even more complicated when he notices that the matter could be related to the violent death of Irene's previous partner almost six years ago, a case that could not be resolved. From that moment on, Clara can't help but wonder who Irene really is. Compressed by circumstances, she must investigate on her own to find out the truth. It is no longer about defending her friend, but about finding the person responsible for the murders.
