Between December 2019 and May 2020, the covid-19 spread unstoppably, like a fire, throughout the planet. But the speed of spread varied from country to country. Too many times, Spain held the shameful title of being the worst affected country in the world and where the pandemic had been worst managed. Political interests almost always prevailed over science. And in the end the healing has gone up in flames. In this work, the wisdom of a prestigious epidemiologist such as Miguel Ángel Martínez-González joins the first-line medicine represented by his brother, the internist Julio Martínez-González, who lived through the worst days of the health crisis since the Service Emergency Department of a Malaga hospital. Healing on Fire is the chronicle of all this and offers two points of view on a reality that was and is still shaking the world.
