La playa de Varsovia

Flores Martínez, Mario

Before reaching Spain, Aleksander, a Polish Jew of Sephardic origin, has to face the Nazis in the Warsaw ghetto in 1943 and fight them in the 1944 City Uprising. After having lost his family in dramatic situations , and after going through hard experiences as a prisoner of war, Aleksander reaches Spain. In Estepona, where he arrived in 1946 under the new name of Sandro, he will meet the love of Águeda, a young businesswoman with whom he will marry. The wounds of the Holocaust find in the peaceful south of Spain a place to begin to heal although Sandro is still See yourself affected by the traumas derived from the Nazi period. But his rebellious spirit will never leave him and he will begin to have news of Nazi fighters that awaken in him his desire to do justice. Through the receptionist of the hotel that his wife runs, he makes contact with a police commissioner who collaborates with the Mossad for the arrest of the Nazi Léon Degrelle, who lives on the Costa del Sol. The vicissitudes of the operation in which he is involved lead him to form a group in which Erik el Belga, a famous art thief, is also involved. But catching Degrelle will not be easy: people close to the regime offer their protection to the Nazi.
