La perfección del tiro

An eighteen-year-old sniper who has lived for too long in a city besieged by civil war focuses his existence on a single goal: to perfect the art of shooting. The secret of a perfect shot lies in mastering your breath, staying calm and listening to your own body, your heartbeat. The rifle has to become the extension of oneself. And so, with his eye on the peephole, he waits patiently from his roof for the day to end with some accurate shots, either at a bird or at a neighbor who has recklessly gone out into the street. As night falls, the sniper returns home to a half-mad mother and Myrna, a fifteen-year-old teenager hired to care for the woman. Myrna awakens in him a tenderness and a desire that the alienation caused by the war perverts in a cruel and unpredictable way.
