The time has come for Leman Russ, primarch of the Space Wolves, to fulfill his promise and attempt to stop Warlord Horus before he reaches Segmentum Solar. Despite opposition from three of his brother primarchs, Russ withdraws his legion from Terra and goes to meet Horus. Reports from the agents of Malcador the Sigilite indicate that Horus has completely changed, possessed by a diabolical energy so immeasurable that no man can stand up to him. A Fenris warrior would never willingly break his oaths, but if deadly weapons are no match for Horus, the Lord of Winter and Desolation may have condemned himself as a matter of honor.
