La pequeña panadería de la isla
Colgan, Jenny
Following the disastrous end of her last love affair, Polly Waterford moves to a remote island resort off the coast of Cornwall, where she settles in a small, lonely flat above an abandoned shop. To distract herself from her problems, Polly concentrates on her favorite hobby: kneading and baking bread. But it doesn't take long for her relaxing weekend pastime to turn into a passion. As she pours her emotions into kneading and beating the dough, each loaf turns out better than the last. Excited, Polly begins to incorporate nuts, olives or seeds into the dough, in addition to the honey provided by a handsome local beekeeper. Drawing on reserves of determination and creativity she didn't know she possessed, Polly amazes the townspeople and visitors alike with the wonders that come out of her oven, and in the process she discovers a bright new life where she never had before. I expected to find it.
