La pequeña Eve

Ward, Catriona

"Where's Evelyn? Oh, I remember. She took her eyes off us". New Year's Day, 1921. Seven mutilated bodies are found in an ancient stone circle on Altnaharra, a remote Scottish island. They are "the Children", members of a cult governed by a sadistic figure whom they call "the uncle". The only survivor, Dinah, claims that they were killed by Eve, that she would have drowned trying to escape. However, as we follow Eve and Dinah's story to the massacre, a darker and stranger truth emerges. The island is all the Children know, the guy does not allow any contact with the outside world. But the world is at war and it reaches even the lonely community of Altnaharra.
