La partida final

Donoghue, John

Emil Clément, known in Auschwitz as The Clockmaker, goes unnoticed until the Nazis discover that he knows how to play chess and establish a tournament to boost the morale of the officers. Word soon spreads that Emil is unbeatable, but when it comes to the final game, the Nazis are not going to allow a Jew to stand up to them... Years later, in 1962, Emil is a professional chess player, and he finds himself in Amsterdam where he will have to face a former SS officer again, remembering everything that happened years ago.
