La parte salvaje

Guallar, Ferran

Paul Murray, an anthropologist specialized in evolution and primates, has been fighting for the protection of chimpanzees for fifteen years from a small African reserve where he arrived fleeing a violent past. Day by day, however, his field notes on a chimpanzee recently dethroned as alpha male reflect, like a brutal mirror, his vital moment, in which he does not see -or does not want to see- the new circumstances or the anomalous dynamics within his organization that drown him little by little. An unexpected event forces him to make drastic decisions to avoid the destruction of everything he has fought to protect: the forest, the chimpanzees and the future of the inhabitants of the small paradise where the underlying irrationality in the human being becomes the new normal.
