La mentalidad del explorador

Human beings have what Julia Galef calls a "soldier's mentality", we defend the ideas that we most want to believe... and we discredit those that we don't. However, the author proposes that we develop an "explorer's mentality", based on inspecting the territory and creating a mental map that is as precise as possible. In The Explorer's Mindset, Galef shows us that we don't need to be the smartest or most knowledgeable, but by adopting certain emotional skills, habits, and perspectives, we can all learn to see things as they are and avoid being fooled by our brains.
