La media luna de arena

After twenty years of service in the north of the country, Carabinieri Lieutenant Gregorio Misticò -known to all as Gori- returns to San Telesforo Iónico, the Calabrian town where he grew up. The real reason is known only to Nicola Strangio, a childhood friend and oncologist at a Milan hospital. The few inhabitants who still live in the town often see Gori heading towards the small beach of Pàparo, a crescent of white sand without shadow, where geese nest and the sea shines like the clearest memory of youth. Gori is determined to finally take things easy, to enjoy the foam of the days once. However, when the young Chief Sergeant Costantino asks him to help solve the murder of the aristocrat Vittorio Celata de Lauria, something deep inside tells him that he cannot refuse...
