December 1988. The twilight of Romanian communism. Paul is a philosophy student, but he manages to get expelled from the faculty, because his dream is to play drums in a group. Fane is still in high school and has bought an electric guitar and an old radio that he uses as an amplifier. Only the beginning of "Mistreated" by Deep Purple is known. Soon they begin to stay in a theater warehouse to rehearse. Oksana is 20 years old and is a waitress in a provincial restaurant.
