Summer has arrived and Professor Miura informs Kanon of the literature club tradition: the young woman will have to write her own literary work during the holidays. Kanon has opened up to her teacher about her disability and how she feels since she met Saki. Following his advice, Kanon decides to reflect on paper everything she has experienced and felt since she lost her hearing and since Saki came into her life. On the other hand, Saki is in charge of the musical accompaniment of her class's choir for the festival competition that will be held after the summer. However, she learns that Kanon has to endure harsh comments for not being able to sing due to her hearing impairment.
