La línea y la mancha en el dibujo
Martín, Gabriel (1970- )
The way of working with lines and spots is one of the most used methods to start drawing because it allows us to understand how the drawing of the form is related to the incorporation of tone. Any real model can be translated or interpreted in various ways: through linear strokes that structure the shape, margins and contours; from a tonal treatment, with the juxtaposition of spots that determine the shading and the effect of volume; and finally, with a drawing that integrates both possibilities. The amateur artist can learn here to correctly use the line and the stain, the basic and primal graphic signs of any artistic manifestation. To facilitate this undertaking, a set of selected exercises is offered that puts at your fingertips an extensive repertoire of possibilities to develop interesting graphic resources, as well as the most recurring techniques and effects.
