La leyenda del bosque
Santamaría, Jara
Legend has it that, in the Baztán valley, the gods lived in brotherhood and the creatures of day and night could live in harmony. But Gaueko, the fearsome god of the night, began to frighten the humans with his retinue of wolves and the goddess of the earth, Mari, gave birth to the Moon and the Sun to protect them from the darkness. However, Gaueko's desire for power led him to hatch a plan to kidnap the Sun and thus definitively establish his reign of the shadows. In a rage, Mari divided the world in two and nothing and no one could cross the border between them. Teo, Emma and Ada don't like each other at all, but they are cousins, and circumstances have meant that they spend the summer together in their grandmother's Navarrese farmhouse. When one of them disappears and the others go looking for him, they discover a universe of sorcerers and gods, of irascible giants and beautiful women with the claws of a bird of prey in which the fearsome god Gaueko has imposed darkness. A world in which they can only be saved from darkness if they remain united and discover their own magic.
