La izquierda traicionada

According to Guillermo del Valle, there is a double threat that little by little has been destroying a Spanish left that is increasingly distant from its values. On the one hand, market fundamentalism that has invaded progressive parties to such an extent that it is difficult to distinguish their discourse from that of the right. All this at the same time that the threat of the digital economy looms over millions of workers, that capital continues to concentrate and that inequalities increase. And on the other hand, identitarianism, an extreme individualism that insists on sacralizing each and every one of the identities that emerge in the world, be they religious, tribal, irrationalist, or the worst of all and most common in our country, the nationalism. This book is above all a critique of the left from the left itself, an essay that points out the persistent contradictions into which the Spanish progressive parties fall and that, with solid arguments, advocates for new approaches that return social democracy to the path of freedom and equality.
