La isla de Caravaggio
Donate, Dativo
Caravaggio's painter Michelangelo Merisi flees Rome after killing the ruffian Tomassoni, during a murky brawl. The Master of Malta deliberates with his Council whether to protect Caravaggio and lure him to the island, and Knight Frey Augustus of Rohan is sent to the Eternal City to investigate the matter. Another intriguing gentleman from Prague competes for the painter's interest. And three assassins will want to avenge their dead capo by looking for Merisi to finish him off. Finally, the painter arrives on the island and wins the maestre's esteem with a spectacular portrait. The corsairs De Cos, father and son, are assigned by the maester to protect the famous refugee. But the Knights of Saint John watch with increasing distaste the rise of the commoner painter and his annoying prestige.
