La intermitència
Camilleri, Andrea
Strategic alliances have always been the main weapons of Mauro De Blasi, the CEO of a major Italian company. For some time now, however, his clarity of thought has been affected by sudden whites, disturbing "intermittencies" during which he disconnects from the world for a few seconds. This is a serious problem for the company. His illness comes at a time of economic crisis, workers have occupied a factory and the public image of the brand may suffer. It is also dangerous for Mauro's relationships with his family and associates. His wife Marisa is a sensual woman, the chief of staff is a man with talent and a taste for poetry; the president's son, on the other hand, is an arrogant one. All three are potential enemies, involved in secret plots that could be very detrimental to Mauro.
