Elizabeth Shaw is a young orphan who has been fleeing her past for fifteen years and working as a governess for children and young women from the high society of Buenos Aires. When she finally decides to return to her small native town in the south of England, one last assignment from her keeps her in the Argentine capital: a family to which she is strongly united she requires her services.
