Torak faces the most terrible crossroads of his life: the clans discover the Soul Eater tattoo on his chest and declare him an outlaw. Henceforth, he will wander alone and anyone who sees him will be able to hunt him down and kill him. Thus, the evil plan hatched by Seshru, the sorceress of the Vipers, succeeds: Torak becomes an outcast, banished and despised by all. The only one who believes in his innocence is Renn, who after a series of hectic incidents manages to find him. His adventure has only just begun, however, as a terrible revelation awaits Torak that could change his friendship with Renn forever.
