La galería de los antepasados

La galería de los antepasados

Cabrera Kñallinsky, Andrea

The story begins with a lopsided game of cards, in which a prosperous and stubborn country man, the patriarch of the clan, gambles his fleet of trucks to win a seemingly vacant hillside owned by a gambler neighbor. The house that is built on that land, the first in the town, houses some mysterious tiles whose peculiarity is to keep deceased ancestors present. Thus, they will continue to relate, from other planes, with the generations of this family made up of surprising female characters, charged with that deep feeling of loyalty and care that women of yesteryear displayed, linked to the land and who understood life from the community. Under a peaceful appearance, a thousand stories are spun, some endearing, others not so much. Crimes are committed, crops devoured by insects are lost, friendships, quarrels and love are forged that make up a choral picture, in which the different realities take place beyond the dimensions in which we seem to live, intertwine in the day to day of characters and situations drawn in the purest style of magical realism.
