La fuerza mayor
notas sobre Nietzsche y Cioran
Rosset, Clément
This work is undoubtedly a good example of Rosset's philosophical production. The conscientious analysis of that greater force that is joy, the neuralgic point of all his philosophy, and its incidence -present or absent- in what is perhaps the maximum philosophical antagonism that can be reached in this regard. If "Notes on Nietzsche", one of the most lucid studies on the philosophy of the disciple of Dionysus and, undoubtedly, the most Nietzschean of all of them, illustrates a particular way of conceiving philosophy, dedicated to highlighting the element of affirmation, "Cioran's discontent" perfectly shows the opposite case, namely, the inconvenience of being born, the theoretical impossibility of acclimatizing to the irremediable and fatal harshness of reality.
