La excavación

In the long, hot summer of 1939 England prepares for war. But in a small farm by the river, near Suffolk, oblivious to what happens beyond its borders, another kind of story is lived, one that has little or nothing to do with the dark clouds that swirl over the continent. Mrs. Pretty, a widowed farmer, with the help of Basil Brown, a thought-provoking and rather unorthodox archaeologist, has been proven correct about the mounds on her property. Nobody gave much for them, but they will soon discover that they hide one of the greatest archaeological treasures in history.
