Berlin, 1926. Sophia is only twenty years old but her life already seems to have fallen apart: her first love has ended in scandal, her family does not want to see her and she has had to abandon her chemistry studies at university. After traveling to Paris to start from scratch, one day she finds herself in front of the dazzling window of the new salon of Helena Rubinstein, an ambitious businesswoman whose name is on the lips of every Parisian lady.
