Gwija is 92 years old and lives in South Korea. After decades of waiting, she wants to be reunited with her eldest son. She lost sight of him in a column of refugees, fleeing from the north, while she nursed the baby she was carrying in her arms. At a meeting sponsored by the Red Cross, her friend Jeong-Sun has just been reunited with her little sister after sixty-eight years apart. Gwija just wishes she could follow in her footsteps in a new edition. In 1950, the Korean War separated entire families, who were left on either side of an impassable border.
