Many towns disappeared in Spain after the great rural exodus of the fifties, but some mortally wounded still survive today. Small populations out of place in geography and time, maladjusted and uncomfortable for administrations. This book proposes a journey of more than two thousand kilometers through eight villages in danger of disappearing to give a voice to a handful of inhabitants who resist despite everything. And by doing so, they prevent their towns from being wiped off the map. A chronicle that reveals the moving life stories that statistics and demographic studies hide.
