La escuela de Freddie
Fitzgerald, Penelope
It's the 1960s, and every theater in London's West End turns to Freddie Wentworth, the eccentric veteran owner of Temple Stage School, for the best child actors from her school for productions of everything from plays from Shakespeare to musicals and Christmas performances, deliberately avoiding the most profitable work, such as television or film. Of unknown age and origin, Freddie is quite an enigma. She has made herself an institution through her strength of character, and she has made her school a national symbol, even though it has been falling apart for years. However, times are changing fast and the cultural transformation of the city means that not even the titanic Freddie is able to maintain her influence.
