La deshumanització

Halla, a 12-year-old girl, continues to have her deceased twin sister in mind. She imagines her body planted underground, in constant metamorphosis, bearing strange fruits. In this terrible world appears Einar, a boy older than her, stupid and brutal, who impregnates her. Together they will face the consequences when Halla is expelled from her house, despite the opposition of her weak father. She will welcome them Steindór, a religious cult that hides a crime of which Einar was a victim. To the remote fjord of Bilduladur, a strict aunt of Halla arrives to take charge of the family, they initiate a love relationship with the cleric that will lead to the discovery of the crime and to a tragic, just and poetic ending.
