When the scientific expedition of which Jean Godin des Odonnais was a part was dismantled in 1740, and which had the objective of calculating the longitude of the terrestrial meridian in Ecuador, Isabel Gramesón, his wife, made the riskiest decision of her life. For love, she will go in search of Jean, crossing the Amazon River, in an adventure never undertaken by a woman. Accompanied by a delegation of indigenous people and by part of her own family, Isabel will live a fight for survival in a hostile and practically unexplored place for man. Will she be able to reunite with her husband?
