Throughout time, in any place where a regime of these characteristics has been imposed or has tried to be imposed, a multitude of crimes have been committed, some especially aberrant, such as those of the tyrannies of Stalin, Mao or Pol Pot. The communist ideal, which is innocuous on paper, turns into a nightmare in practice. From the first typically socialist revolution -the Bolshevik revolution- to its most recent epigone -Bolivarian Venezuela- revolutionary praxis has claimed the lives of millions of people around the world in less than a century.
