La coalición frente a la pandemia

crónica política del año que cambió la historia

Monrosi, José Enrique
Llapart, María

On Saturday, March 14, 2020, President Pedro Sánchez appeared before the media to announce the state of alarm and the confinement of the population. The Spanish economy stopped short as the health crisis threatened to collapse hospitals. Just two months had passed since the formation of the first coalition government. Two months of euphoria and enthusiasm on the left, preceded by a fierce battle between PSOE and United We Can and two general elections. A minority coalition now facing the greatest health, economic and political crisis in recent Spanish history. María Llapart and José Enrique Monrosi present here the chronicle of how that crisis was managed politically, of the coexistence between Sánchez and Iglesias and of the struggles that occurred within the Government, of the challenges that put the country in check, of the historical decisions in extreme situations and in the interiorities of an exceptional political moment.
