La ciudad del alma dormida
Modroño, Félix G.
Bilbao, December 1935. Ignacio Segurola, photographer and journalist meets Irene Lasa, a young bookseller for whom she is immediately attracted. That same afternoon a prostitute is murdered. Segurola covers the news and begins to investigate the crime. However, in July 1936 everything changes when Bilbao is besieged and famine and bombs wreak havoc in a city at war. Another crime similar to the previous one occurs, but it goes unnoticed by the situation in the city. After several months of resistance, in June 1937, Franco's troops entered Bilbao and Ignacio Segurola went into exile... It was not until the 1940s that Irene and Ignacio could meet again in a city that was no longer the same .
