La ciencia de hacerse rico ; La ciencia del bienestar ; La ciencia de ser grande
Wattles, Wallace D.
This single volume brings together three books by Wallace D. Wattles that are totally independent of each other, yet clearly connected. These are perhaps the three most famous works by Wattles, someone quite unknown to the Spanish public, although not to the American public, his country of origin and a place where his thought has inspired the philosophy of public figures and even the creation of a film. The trilogy is in turn inspired by (and is a good example of it) the so-called Christian Science, a movement that emerged in the second half of the 19th century and had a certain boom during the early 20th century. Christian Science sought to turn religion into science, and it is easy to see its imprint on these books. Thus, for example, in perhaps the most famous of the books in the trilogy, The Science of Getting Rich, the author gives the precise steps that any aspiring to become wealthy must follow. If the instructions are faithfully followed - and the author insists on this ad nauseam - such a person will become, inevitably, rich. And so it is with the other two books in the fields of health and greatness: The Science of Wellness and The Science of Being Great. A reconciliation between traditional Western spirituality with the new fields that science constantly opened up in its time, in the face of new technologies and advances. In turning spirituality into science, in fact. And this is his legacy.
