When he's not in the ring boxing, Max Le Corre works as a chauffeur for the town's mayor. But, above all, he is Laura's father, who, with her twenty-something self-assurance, has decided to return to live with him. It is then that it occurs to Max that it would be a good idea for the mayor to help her find accommodation. Neither of the two, father and daughter, imagines that this innocent request will end up awakening the low instincts of the mayor and starting the gears of power relations, from the provincial sewers to the high national spheres, to remove the past from which both flee and mark the future of all those involved.
