When Lieutenant Karen Blecker contemplates the thick winter fog of San Lorenzo de El Escorial, she does not expect that her routine breakfast with her partner Brigadier Cano will be abruptly interrupted by the appearance of a corpse in one of the chalets on the road that leads to the local golf club. A violent death, a trial that has not managed to clearly clarify who was the victim and who was the executioner... A case that, with its numerous questions, will once again force the couple from the Civil Guard to review their convictions: are they unequivocally monochrome facts?
