Set in the bucolic enclave of Martha's Vineyard in the 1950s, The Wedding chronicles twenty-four hours of life in the Oval, a proud, tight-knit island community made up of the elite of the East Coast's African-American bourgeoisie. Within this exclusive circle, the prominent Coles family has come together for the wedding of their daughter Shelby.
