La Batalla de Maldon ; El regreso de Beorhtnoth

The epic poem The Battle of Maldon, of which only a fragment of 325 verses survives, is considered the last surviving fragment of ancient English epic poetry. It is the Old English poem that most influenced Tolkien's fiction, besides Beowulf. This edition presents for the first time Tolkien's translation of the original poem The Battle of Maldon together with The Return of Beorhtnoth, a dramatic verse dialogue imagining the aftermath of the battle.
