Infant nutrition is key to achieving adequate development in the individual and good health at later ages. In this sense, in recent years there has been widespread concern about some aspects of nutrition in the first months of life: the amount of protein foods, light foods or the role of sugars in the diet. On the other hand, the recommendations of professionals on the introduction of gluten, fish, eggs or vegetables in the diet have been changing. All of these changes can be confusing for parents. The reality is that there are two opposing positions on feeding in the first months of life: the traditional diet based on porridge and the so-called baby-led weaning. In these pages we will learn how we can combine them to absorb all the benefits of each one. Feeding the young child tries to answer all these questions and propose practical solutions for nutrition that facilitates the correct development of children.
